ออท. ณ กรุงราบัต เข้าร่วมพิธีชักธงอาเซียน

เมื่อวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม 2559 ออท. ณ กรุงราบัต เข้าร่วมพิธีชักธงอาเซียน ซึ่งจัดโดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซีย ซึ่งปัจจุบันดำรงตำแหน่งประธาน ASEAN Committee in Rabat (ACR) โดยผู้เข้าร่วมประกอบด้วย ออท./ อุปทูตประเทศอาเซียนอื่น ๆ ที่มีสถานเอกอัครราชทูตในกรุงราบัต  นาย Mohamed Maliki อธิบดีกรมเอเชียและโอเชียเนีย และข้าราชการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโมร็อกโก  รวมทั้งคณะทูตประเทศต่าง ๆ

พิธีการประกอบด้วยการชักธงอาเซียนขึ้นเสาระหว่างการร้องเพลง ASEAN Way ต่อด้วยการเปิดเพลงชาติโมร็อกโก  จากนั้น ออท. มซ./ โมร็อกโก และอธิบดีกรมเอเชียและโอเชียเนีย ได้กล่าวสุนทรพจน์  สุดท้าย ออท./ อุปทูตประเทศอาเซียนและอธิบดีกรมเอเชียและโอเชียเนียถ่ายภาพร่วมกัน

ทั้งนี้ พิธีชักธงอาเซียนเป็นงานที่ สอท. อาเซียนในประเทศต่าง ๆ ที่มีการจัดตั้ง ASEAN Committee จัดขึ้นเป็นประจำทุกปีในวันที่ ๘ ส.ค. ซึ่งเป็นวันครบรอบการลงนามปฏิญญากรุงเทพฯ ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นการก่อตั้งอาเซียนอย่างเป็นทางการ  ทั้งนี้ วันอาเซียนมีความสำคัญโดยเป็นโอกาสให้ประชาชนของประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนรำลึกถึงความเป็นหนึ่งเดียว โดยเฉพาะการที่แต่ละประเทศมีวิสัยทัศน์ อัตลักษณ์ และประชาคมร่วมกันในปัจจุบัน

นอกจากนี้ ออท. อาเซียน ได้ใช้โอกาสดังกล่าวในการแสดงความยินดีต่อโมร็อกโกที่ได้รับการเห็นชอบต่อการสมัครเป็นภาคี Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC)

H.E. Ambassador of Thailand to Morocco Attended the ASEAN Flag Raising Ceremony

On 8 August 2016, H.E. Ambassador of Thailand to Morocco attended the ASEAN Flag Raising Ceremony, organized by Embassy of Malaysia in Rabat (the current chair of the ASEAN Committee in Rabat -- ACR). Other participants include other ASEAN Ambassadors/ Charge d'Affaires with embassy in Rabat, Mr. Mohamed Maliki, Director of Department of Asian and Oceanic Affairs, personnels from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Morocco, and other members of the diplomatic corps.

The ceremony consists of ASEAN flag raising and the singing of the ASEAN Way (ASEAN official hymn). Afterwards, there were speeches by H.E. Ambassador of Malaysia to Morocco and the Director of the Department of Asian and Oceanic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Morocco. At the end, ASEAN Ambassadors and Director Maliki took a photo together.

The ASEAN Flag Raising Ceremony is organized by ASEAN Embassies with an established ASEAN Committee. The ceremony takes place on the 8 August, which was also the day the Bangkok Declaration was first signed to formally establish ASEAN. ASEAN Day is an opportunity for ASEAN people to reflect on their unity, especially their sharing of one vision, one identity, and one community.

ASEAN Ambassadors also took this occasion to congratulate their Moroccan counterparts on the acceptance for Morocco to accede to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC) during the AMM meeting in Vientiane.
